Dr. Nyla Hazratjee
Dr. Nyla Hazratjee is an award-winning film producer, full-time gastroenterologist, educator, and community advocate. Her production credits include the feature films The Persian Version and The School Duel, as well as the short films Six Stars and American Fabric.
A passionate educator and speaker, Dr. Hazratjee lectures at institutions such as Columbia University and the University of South Florida. She frequently organizes and hosts educational film panels for organizations and events including Women in Film and Television (WIFT), the Gasparilla International Film Festival, the Sunscreen Film Festival, the Florida Arab Film Festival, and the Tiger Tail Chinese American Film Festival.
Beyond her work in cinema, she is a TEDx speaker and produces live events dedicated to fostering community welfare and empowering Muslim female artists. Deeply involved in community leadership, she serves as a committee chair for WIFT-FL and sits on the Diversity Accountability Committee of Hillsborough County.
Above all, she is a dedicated wife and mother who proudly lives by the motto: "Women can do anything and everything they want."
