Vivian Fleming-Alvarez is a powerhouse in the Florida arts community, bringing decades of multi-faceted industry experience to her role as the CEO and Co-Founder of the New Tampa Wesley Chapel Film Festival. A visionary leader and entrepreneur, Vivian is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cinematic culture in the Tampa Bay area, bridging the gap between local talent and the global film industry.
As a seasoned SAG-AFTRA actor, Vivian's impressive credits include notable roles in the Academy Award-winning 12 Years a Slave, as well as popular television series like Greenleaf, Bloodline, Queen Sugar, NCIS: New Orleans, Army Wives and many more. Her deep-rooted understanding of the craft led her to establish VFA Acting and Performance Studio, where she serves as an acting coach and mentor, specializing in scene study and on-camera audition techniques for the modern actor.
Vivian's career is defined by her versatility and leadership. Before her ascent in the film and television world, she spent four years as an NFL cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and built a successful foundation in business as a multi-million-dollar producing real estate agent and a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service.
At the helm of the New Tampa Wesley Chapel Film Festival, Vivian leverages her unique blend of artistic passion and executive expertise to create a premier platform for filmmakers. Her mission is to celebrate diverse voices, foster community engagement, and establish the festival as a cornerstone of the New Tampa Wesley Chapel arts landscape.
When she isn't on set or mentoring the next generation of performers, Vivian is a dedicated mother of two sons—Christian and Darren and hands on loving Mimi to three grandchildren.
