As the festival's Creative and Production Director, Melissa provides strategic direction to ensure the event's artistic integrity, technical excellence, and programming remain second to none.
A graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Acting, Melissa's extensive background spans film, television, and theatre. Audiences may recognize her from her work on acclaimed series like The Good Wife and Boardwalk Empire. As a creator and independent filmmaker, her short films have earned critical recognition and awards, reflecting her deep understanding of what it takes to bring a compelling story from concept to completion.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Melissa is an accomplished creative entrepreneur. She is the owner of Winnie Peg Productions, a venture that allows her to champion authentic storytelling and balance the complex demands of both the creative and logistical elements of production.
At the New Tampa Wesley Chapel Film Festival, Melissa serves as a vital liaison to the filmmaking community. She spearheads film selection, oversees juror recruitment, and collaborates with the leadership team to cultivate a welcoming, high-caliber environment where independent filmmakers can showcase their work and connect with audiences.
