Alexandra "Alex" Taboada is an accomplished trial attorney, corporate strategist, and media professional who brings an invaluable combination of legal expertise and artistic passion to the New Tampa Wesley Chapel Film Festival.
Serving on the Board of Directors as the Legal Advisor, Alex provides strategic oversight regarding risk management, compliance, and corporate governance, ensuring a secure and sustainable foundation for the festival's growth.
Alex currently serves as Senior Counsel in the Tampa office of the national law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, where she specializes in complex litigation and insurance defense. Her formidable courtroom credentials began in public service as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida's 15th Judicial Circuit, where she successfully tried numerous jury trials. She further expanded her legal acumen by serving as in-house counsel for Fortune 100 insurance companies, mastering the intricacies of corporate dispute resolution and liability. She holds a Juris Doctor from the prestigious University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Alongside her distinguished legal career, Alex has maintained a lifelong dedication to entertainment, broadcasting, and the arts. A former television and radio personality, she understands the fast-paced nature of the media industry from the inside out. Today, she continues to hone her creative talents as an actress, studying advanced performance techniques at the VFA Acting & Performance Studio.
Deeply invested in lifting up the next generation, Alex also serves as a Youth Leader at Life Church, dedicating her time to mentoring and empowering young people within her community.
